REDUCE HEALTH CARE COSTS THE EASY WAY

Jesus, where are you when we need you?

The cost of health care in the United States is twice as much per capita as the cost in any other westernized country in the world. The quality of health care ranks 24th in quality and availability when compared with those other countries. This amazing state of affairs has brought tragedy to many Americans and shock, dismay, and poor health care to a large number of insured people, mostly the working lower and middle classes. In addition, because of the high cost of health care insurance, many Americans are forced into frightening situation of not being able to obtain any health care outside of government or charitable offerings.

The reason for this situation is that a substantial amount of money that goes into the health care system, goes to companies that do not deliver any form of health care, namely, the insurance companies. Most of that money goes into profits, executive officer compensation at extremely high levels, and into the reserve pot of money from which actual payment for delivery of health care is drawn.

That "pot of money" is invested by the insurance companies for profit making purposes and that profit does not get injected back into the pot but instead goes into the coffers of the insurance companies for their own uses, namely, distribution of dividends to shareholders.

The easy way to reduce heath care costs is to remove all insurance companies from the health care field. The only costs that will continue are the costs of clerical workers (who are trained to deny health care to insureds under an enormous variety of pretexts) and other necessary costs such as office supplies, rent, and usual and customary costs of any legitimate business.

Then the "pot of money" can be invested in the same way the insurance companies invest it and the profits returned for delivery of health care.

This is comparable to Jesus chasing money-lenders from the temple.
